Abstract
In his article Nihilist tendencies in general pedagogy W. Kruszelnicki (2018) argues that general pedagogy sank into a postmodern crisis of values which results in its inability to formulate theoretically groundedaims of education. As a remedy for this tendency W. Kruszelnicki presents F. Nietzsche?s philosophy, who sethought, as Kruszelnicki is convinced, was wrongly associated with the intellectual fundament of postmodernrelativism and skepticism. In this article I would like to refer to these polemics and complement them withsome of my own thoughts regarding the crisis of the theory of education. Here, a significant reference pointwill be Nietzsche?s concept of the ?overhuman?, which W. Kruszelnicki omits in his critique of nihilism. I will finish my reflections with the following hypothesis: according to F. Nietzsche?s posthumanist thoughtthe biggest challenge for the contemporary humanities is not nihilism itself, but the progressing technocratictendencies in terms of formulating and enforcing educational aims within our educational institutions
