Abstract

The article presents and discusses the results of phenomenographical research conducted in the primary school in Poland. The study aims at analyzing how teachers, in situations unprovoked by the researcher, understand and assess the fact of the technologization of their school (the implementation of mobile devices). The cognitive result of the phenomenography is the determination of a map of meanings (technology defined as poison, addictive drug or Trojan horse) that reveals various ways how teachers understand mobile devices and their educational and cultural roles.
